Burlington Arcade marks 200th Christmas with lights switch on

Kicking off the capital's festive season in true style, yesterday saw Burlington Arcade transformed with its annual Christmas lights "switch on". Of course, 2019 marks 200 years of Burlington Christmases, so this year's celebrations felt even more special than usual. 

Dame Judi Dench undertook the enviable task of switching the lights on, while celebrities - David Gandy, James Middleton, Ashley James, Jack Fox, Gizzi Erskine, Roxie Nafousi and Sophie Habboo among them - mingled with boutique owners and their VIP guests. 

In addition to the iconic shopping destination's landmark anniversary, Burlington Arcade has also welcomed the addition of a variety of new brands just in time for Christmas shopping season. Highlights include a Harrods Kingdom of Christmas pop-up store as well as the newly-opened Christian Louboutin boutique, introducing not only covetable footwear and accessories but also exclusive Burlington 200th Christmas designs - get them while you can.
