The start of a new season can only mean one thing - the perfect opportunity to update one's wardrobe. The latest autumn/winter range from British shoemaker Crockett & Jones has an array of smart styles to choose from, though designs have taken a markedly less formal approach than in previous collections. No surprise, of course, with the majority of the brand's professional clientele currently working from home. As such, shoes and boots have been crafted to fit in with the current hankering for "business comfort" looks - a decision that we can certainly get on board with.
A step ahead: Revealing Crockett & Jones’ A/W20 collection
22nd October 2020
From military-inspired looks to a new winter loafer, we pick out our favourite men's shoe styles from the heritage footwear brand’s new-season range
In the main collection, the loafer has been given a winter-friendly revamp in the form of the Whitby and the Henley III [pictured above], both textured in dark brown cavalry calf with a lightweight cleated sole, while a utilitarian influence comes through in such styles as the Aldershot boot [below] and Sandhurst lace-up. Other styles to note include the elegant Chelsea VIII [top] in chestnut burnished calf and the suede-textured Shannon boot, ideal for autumnal city walks.
