From magazine covers to paparazzi shots, and now the high street, Kate Moss' iconic style continues to influence wardrobes well into 2024. Now more than ever, with the supermodel's launch of her debut party capsule collection with Zara.

Just in time for Christmas, a dazzling party collection is coming and its all about Kate

It isn't Zara's first rodeo when it comes to celebrity collaborations. From Kaia Gerber serving up a collection of 90s minimalism back in 2022, to their very first instance of ‘joining forces’ with Charlotte Gainsbourg in 2021. Where the fashionable daughter of Jane Birkin brought signature looks of day-to-day denim to a new level. Yes, Zara are no stranger to doing a collab collection or two. But with one of the most iconic supermodels in history? Never. Until now that is.

Kate Moss, we all know her. Ruling the fashion world of the 90s, adorned with fur, cigarette in hand, and Naomi Campbell by her side. Hanging out of a window in Hackney as Pete Doherty played the guitar, or featured in Warhol-style by Banksy. From strutting down the runway in Vivienne Westwood and trudging through the muds of Glasto in gold dress and low-rise belt. I could go on and on. Long story short here, Kate is iconic. Now, just in time to dazzle at Christmas Parties and New Year’s dos, Zara (with the help of Katy England and Kate herself of course) have dug through her archives of fits to curate a ‘Party Capsule’ collection that is quintessentially Kate Moss. Launching this Saturday 30th November, the release is sure to cause chaotic queues round the block and have the railings blank in a flash. Get in line everyone, Moss has reached the high street.

Back to Glasto '05

We mentioned the Glastonbury look. What would a Kate Moss collection be without including THE Glastonbury look. Well, it’ll be there, in its glittering glory. A Zara rendition of the gold Lurex dress that defined 00s festival fashions. When Kate sat down with designer, Katy England to filter through piles (and years) of outfits, an inevitable challenge was faced. How could they possibly reduce these wardrobes of stunning looks down to just one collection that speaks for all the phases of Kate? A tough and gruelling decision, I’m sure, but the outcome certainly doesn’t disappoint. The Glastonbury get-up was a no brainer. But what other picks made the cut and, more importantly, will be available off the rack?

Rockstar Chic

Kate Moss Zara - black sequin outfit

The ever-grungy phase of the ‘rockstar girlfriend aesthetic’ continues, and those wanting to coin said aesthetic will certainly be getting in line this Saturday. While I class the original rockstar girlfriend as Pattie Boyd, this particular vibe comes a little later than the 60s. We’re talking perfectly messy makeup, smoky eyes, fur jackets and combos of red and black. An effortlessly glam look that Kate ran with on the regular. In this collection, be prepared to see red high heels, black patent leather and leopard print galore. All fitting with Kate’s chic yet edgy looks of the late 00s.

A long-lived love for Vintage

A satin shirt and maxi skirt co-ord inspired by Kate's 1930s vintage pieces

Much like her sell-out collection with Topshop in 2007, this Zara release will reflect Kate’s long-standing love of vintage. The supermodel is famed for scouring boutiques across the globe for stand-out pieces from every imaginable era of the 1900s. Whether it be 1960s bohemian chic, or sleek silk dresses of the 1930s, she’s copped it from Portobello decades ago and now its circling back into Zara stores. In this collection, a champagne satin ensemble nods to the 1930s vintage of her fashion archives. An elegant vision paired with playful leopard print flats in the collection’s campaign. Numerous timeless pieces with floral prints also make an appearance, including a flowing ruffled maxi dress and sophisticated high-neck scarfed halter-top.
