After a lineup of stellar speakers in 2023, FT Weekend Festival makes a return to Kenwood House for its ninth year
Following on after eight years of enthralling conversations, FT Weekend number nine has a lot to live up to – but they haven’t held back. On the 7th of September, we can look forward to hearing from (yet again) a huge variety of spectacular speakers and prepare our ears for some very interesting discussion. Covering everything from economics and politics to climate and culture, tearing crowds apart to 10 different stages throughout the day.

Making her way from Dragon’s Den to the FT line-up, Deborah Meaden is set to make an appearance. Alongside multi award-winning actor, John Lithgow, after featuring in Footloose, Dexter and now, a production of Giant at The Royal Court Theatre. On the beauty front, Sarah Chapman will also be taking a seat. As well as presenter Michael Palin, and best-selling authors Bella Mackie and Robert Harris. No matter whether you’re a literature lover or makeup master, there is a speaker on board who will have your ears pricked up.
With another FT Weekend Festival, also comes some of the FT’s most illustrious journalists. From the editor herself, Roula Khalaf and chief economics commentator, Martin Wolf to UK chief political commentator, Robert Shrimsley and the HTSI editor, Jo Ellison. With these lively writers as hosts, who knows what captivating conversations will come from the panels.

The festival isn’t all listening. There are plenty of interactive (and creative) experiences to get stuck into.
