While Londoners eagerly await the reopening of their favourite haunts this summer, the teams behind many of the city's bars, restaurants and hotels have been busy coming up with innovative ways to reach people at home. Among them is Knightsbridge icon The Berkeley, which has just launched a clever - and eco-friendly - method to deliver their lauded cocktails to locals in the neighbourhood.  

Available to order over the phone seven days a week, the Blue Bar Bikes (named after The Berkeley's own Blue Bar, which often makes the list of the capital's top watering holes) whizz over to customers to craft cocktails on their very own doorstep. Fully equipped with all the ingredients, accessories and garnishes needed to whip up a classic serve - whether your tastes lie in martinis or Manhattans - each bike is helmed by one of the Blue Bar's own mixologists. 

Choose from a freshly crafted cocktail - up to six servings of two types of serve can be made per delivery, poured either into your own glasses or special Blue Bar glassware if purchased - or a pre-bottled version, which come in such popular varieties as Negroni and Old Fashioned. 

The Blue Bar Bikes are available to order from 5.30pm – 9pm, seven days a week. Bespoke cocktails start from £18 while six bottled classic cocktails are also available for delivery -  priced at £19 for 200ml (2-3 servings) and £43 for 500ml bottles (5-6 drinks). Blue Bar glassware starts from £17.
