Aesop, the esteemed Australian skincare brand, has opened its latest store on Brompton Road, within The Knightsbridge Estate. This new opening, coinciding with the conclusion of Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2024, highlights Aesop’s ongoing commitment to innovative design and luxurious self-care.

Aesop’s design team, fresh from dismantling the installation by Nicolas Schuybroek—titled "Form Follows Formulation"—in Milan, has transported this creative vision to London. Inspired by the Arte Povera movement of the late 60s and 70s and Superstudio’s monochromatic grid structures, Schuybroek transformed simple bars of soap into a striking sculpture. Slabs of Aesop soap appeared to hover in a grid formation, supported by a slender timber structure that is easily disassembled and repurposed. The new Knightsbridge location presented an ideal venue for this innovative installation, allowing its almost immediate re-deployment.

The Aesop store stands as an oasis of calm on the bustling Brompton Road, from the moment you walk in. Visitors are greeted by the signature scent of Aesop’s aromatic products, setting the stage for an immersive retail experience. Guests are encouraged to explore formulations directly on their skin. Knowledgeable consultants are on hand to provide personalised recommendations based on individual needs.

The store’s thoughtful design and high-quality products are set to attract both local and international visitors, enhancing Knightsbridge’s reputation as a premier shopping destination. As Londoners and tourists flock to Brompton Road this summer, Aesop’s new store promises to offer a unique and enriching shopping experience in the skincare space. After all, there’s no better investment than that in self-care.
